(OTCBB:NPWS – News), a leading developer of fuel cells for military applications, notebook computers and portable electronic devices, announced today that David Wine, former Director of Cell and Stack Development, has been promoted to Vice President of Development. “Dave has been instrumental in the development of the Neah fuel cell and we are pleased to acknowledge his many contributions with this well deserved promotion,” commented Paul Abramowitz, CEO of Neah Power. He went on to say, “As part of our senior development team, Dave will be responsible for engineering and development of fuel cell systems that build upon Neah Power’s unique porous silicon electrode technology and patent portfolio and continuously improving the performance of fuel cell stacks and other subsystems.” Wine, who joined Neah Power in 2003, has 18 years of microsystem development experience in both mature and early-stage companies. His industry experience includes micromachined accelerometer R&D at Allied Signal, optical MEMS development at Microvision, and DNA microarray technology at Combimatrix. His focus at Neah Power has been microfluidics and fuel cell stack development. Mr. Wine earned his MS in Physics and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.
