Neah Power Becomes Member of General Dynamics EDGE Innovation Network

October 26, 2007

BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neah Power Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NPWS) has become a technology member of the EDGE Innovation Network. Sponsored by General Dynamics C4 Systems, the EDGE comprises world-class, collaborative innovation and technology contributors for systems dedicated to accelerating and integrating technology for warfighters.

Chris D'Couto, Neah Power's chief operating officer, stated, "At the end of September, we unveiled our working fuel cell prototype, whose closed loop, porous silicon design is uniquely suited to provide high power density solutions for a variety of applications and working environments. This delivers an advantageous solution in a very compact form."

"Membership in the EDGE Innovation Network is a further proof point of our technology's potential, especially in the $1 billion military applications market we are pursuing following the successful completion of our initial prototype last month," continued D'Couto. "In addition, it expands Neah Power's exposure to key industry and customer contacts and our ability to enable solutions in an accelerated fashion for defense and national security needs."

Richard Coupland, EDGE Innovation Network director for General Dynamics C4 Systems said, "By aligning the innovations of EDGE members such as Neah Power Systems with requests and feedback from warfighters and warfighting programs, we can more quickly deliver relevant and responsive capabilities addressing size, weight and power requirements."

Opened in December 2006, and with members representing customers, industry and academia, the EDGE Innovation Network was designed to reduce the development cycle time and cost for new warfighter technologies and capabilities. The EDGE enables an environment of collaboration between customers, industry and academic members with access to laboratory and test facilities. In just 10 months, more than 20 innovations have been successfully demonstrated to U.S. military and government customers. More information can be found online at: www.EDGEWarrior.com.

General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD - News), is a leading integrator of secure communication and information systems and technology.
